Qair’s Floating Wind Experience Helping to Shape Ayre Offshore Wind Farm

Project Admin

Delivering floating offshore wind at scale requires proven expertise, technical capability and long-term commitment. As developer of Ayre Offshore Wind Farm, Qair is drawing on international experience to help bring this major Scottish project forward.

Qair is a recognised specialist in floating offshore wind and has recently energised the Eolmed floating offshore wind project in France. This real-world experience is providing valuable insight into the development, construction and operation of floating wind technology.

Those lessons are helping to inform the design and development of Ayre Offshore Wind Farm, a proposed 1GW floating offshore wind project located approximately 30km off the east coast of Orkney.

Ayre is being developed to operate reliably in challenging offshore conditions, while placing strong emphasis on safety, responsible delivery and creating long-term opportunities for local communities and the wider supply chain.

The project reflects Qair’s long-term commitment to floating offshore wind and to supporting Scotland’s clean energy ambitions through innovation, investment and collaboration.
